Kenneth Thurston Hurst (1923 – 2009), Paul Brunton's only son, served in Great Britain's Royal Navy in WWII and built a successful career in publishing in the United States.
After retiring from his position as president of the global publishing house Prentice-Hall International in 2013, he devoted his time to researching, lecturing, and writing about spiritual topics. In 1985 he co-founded, with Robert Larson, the Paul Brunton Philosophic Foundation.
